If you can send mail via webmail but are having trouble sending/receiving mail from your POP account using Outlook, Netscape or other mail clients, this is an indication that your domain name is not resolving correctly. This is often because either the DNS has not propagated yet after you've made a DNS change at your registrar and/or your domain is not pointing to our DNS servers (dns1.nirvanawebhosting.com and dns2.nirvanawebhosting.com).
A quick way to check your dns settings is by going to www.dnsstuff.com. Do an A record search on mail.yourdomain.com (where yourdomain.com is your website's domain name). From here, you'll find out quickly where your mail records are pointing to. If your mail record does not resolve to 66.235.184.97 or 66.36.228.240 (our mail servers), then you will have trouble sending/receiving e-mail. Another check would be to perform a WhoIs search (also at www.dnsstuff.com) on your domain. The result of this search should indicate whether your domain is using our DNS servers (dns1.nirvanawebhosting.com and dns2.nirvanawebhosting.com). If it is not, then your domain is not yet resolving to our servers.
